Main tasks for the role we are seeking include monitoring of exposures, ensuring compliance with limit and hedging frameworks and developing our portfolio management frameworks. The department will work closely, but independent, together with the Portfolio Management and Market Operation functions who will manage and transact both physical and financial exposures using relevant market places and counterparties. The Risk Management Function at E.ON is responsible for monitoring, controlling, developing and reporting on the areas of enterprise risk management and commodity risk management of the Nordic business. Main tasks for the role include monitoring of exposures, ensuring compliance with limit and hedging frameworks and developing our portfolio management frameworks, but also to support on enterprise risk management related tasks. The department works closely, but independently, together with the Energy Management function as well as with the risk owners in the different parts of our Nordic business. In the role Market Risk Manager you will be responsible for:
Monitoring commodity exposures and transaction flows to ensure compliance with limits and hedging frameworks
Designing and implementing new risk tools and technological platforms to enhance risk analytical tools and also to communicate on risk in the business
Ensuring data integrity and consistency of information across the combined business and the avoidance of risk through timely and accurate reporting
Developing in-depth understanding of the Nordic commodity markets in order to pro-actively challenge hedging strategies
Keeping up to date with operational best practice as well as current trends and developments in areas of expertise
Assisting in process for new product proposals and participating in ad hoc projects when required
The role is located in Malmö.
In order to be successful in the role as Market Risk Manager we expect you to have a university degree with strong quantitative/financial/economics bias (e.g. Risk Management) combined with analytical skills in the context of commodity or financial markets. You probably have a few years of professional experience from the area, during which you have developed a good understanding of commodity markets in general, preferably from the Nordic power and gas markets. You also have an ability to query, challenge and maintain a high degree of professional integrity when interacting with other parts of the business. Furthermore we expect you to have great analysis and modelling skills using Excel (advance functions, VBA) and preferably also in Access, Power BI or other tools. Experience in using ETRM systems is also desired.
As personal qualifications we expect that you have a creative mind and an ability to get things efficiently organized. You are also open and communicative with fluent English and Swedish language skills and a great ability to cooperate within a group.
