Many of us who work at IKEA today have started a summer job. For the summer of 2022, we are looking for several employees for IKEA FOOD around the country. You may be studying today, have an hourly employment elsewhere, have not managed to find your dream job yet or simply want to change jobs. We believe in the many people and therefore seek all kinds of talents for our different functions at our department stores.
WHO ARE YOU?
To enjoy working with us at IKEA FOOD, you need to recognize yourself in the following abilities:
Customer focus: At IKEA, mechanical sales are important - to make customers feel confident in shopping and fending for themselves. At IKEA FOOD, however, it's a little different. Here we meet and interact with all customers who come in contact with us. Imagine saying "tasty meal" with a smile on your face and then knowing that you help both the department store's sales and create well-being among our customers.
Like fast pace: Since our restaurants and bistro are often well attended, it is important that you appreciate high tempo and sharp throws. Do you have the ability to have full focus on the customer in front of you and at the same time handle two other customers, who have only a few quick questions about a table of contents? And maybe serve our classic dishes in the meantime? Chances are you'll like the job with us!
Flexible: We encourage you to be curious about different departments and willing to test. A job with us during the summer in FOOD can mean variety - you can serve plant balls, be responsible for making the porcelain clean, cooking, unpacking goods in the Swedish Food Market and charging at the checkout. No matter what tasks you have, you have the ability to be positive and have the will to contribute in the best possible way.
Team-oriented: You thrive in teams, easily creating positive and long-term relationships. You are happy to offer your possible mistakes to develop together with your team. You see it as natural to ask for help as it is to help someone else.
Leadership: At IKEA, we value diversity in leadership. Leading yourself is a matter of course with us, but perhaps today you are also captain of your sports club and now want to bring your leadership skills into the world of work? YOUR DAILY TASKS
IKEA FOOD is often described as "the small store in the big store". Here is the opportunity to work on several different functions with different focus, within the same umbrella.
The restaurants at IKEA stores play an important role by enabling the customer to take a break and replenish with new energy. In a pleasant environment, tasty and healthy meals are served at a competitive price. IKEA Restaurant's mission is to support sales of home furnishings, strengthen IKEA's profile in the local market and guarantee our customers and employees good food at a competitive price. Thanks to us, customers, employees and people at home can have a better everyday life with food that is good for both people and our planet. Together, we serve more than 660 million customers every year in IKEA restaurants worldwide, and we underline our Swedish heritage by offering a modern taste of Sweden.
At IKEA FOOD we have something for everyone - breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner. This offers you a job where you may meet customers in several different ways:
• At the Swedish Food market and in our Bistro you will meet customers, among other things, at the checkout, when you serve them food or stock up on goods in our fridge counters, or shopping shelves.
• In our restaurant you will meet the customers at the checkout but also in the work to ensure that the restaurant gives an inviting impression for our guests, as well as to clean the dishes. In the kitchen you prepare, cook and then serve our customers food.
• You may also be able to order and receive goods that are part of IKEA FOOD, unpack deliveries and/or make returns.
Of course, you do all this together with a bunch of wonderful colleagues!
At IKEA FOOD we have varying working hours between 07.00-20.45 and we work both on weekdays, evenings and weekends. We are looking for you who want to continue working this autumn, as we usually have many part-time positions to offer even after the summer period.
For IKEA Bäckebol we are looking for you who want to work:
• 8h/week until further notice starting around v.19 with a temporary employment of a total of 25h/week for about 6-8 weeks during the summer period.
For IKEA Kållered we are looking for you who want to work:
• 8h/week until further notice with a temporary employment totalling 25h/week for about 6 weeks during the summer period
• 25h/week until further notice
• 25h/week holiday temporary employment for about 6 weeks during the summer period
The summer period is between week 24-35.

We are working on an ongoing selection, so we look forward to your application as soon as possible, but no later than February 28.
If you receive an invitation to answer video questions, it will take place between v.8-10 for IKEA Kållered, and v.10-12 for IKEA Bäckebol. Invitations to interviews can be sent out with short notice and we appreciate your understanding of it. We plan to hold in-person interviews v.10-11 for IKEA Kållered and v.12-13 for IKEA Bäckebol.
Please note that you need to be 18 years of age (no later than April 2022) to be eligible for a summer employment with us.
