Through your passionate commitment to develop people and processes you will contribute to our position as the world leading supplier in our field. You will be the voice of the customer and provide customer support. As member of the Plant Management Team, you will actively contribute to the strategic development of the business. Maintainance and development of our quality management system will ensure that the quality of products reach customers requirements. Further areas of responsibility will be:
• Providing leadership and guidelines for quality systems such as raw material control, mfg process quality control systems, outgoing products/parts.
• Engineering support & continuous improvement for processes related to foundry, machining and thermal spray surface treatment.
• Managing quality issues including communication with customers and co-ordination of problem solving teams across the value chain.
• Leading quality cost reduction activities/plant scrap reduction.
• Managing and monitoring quality performance. Establishing quality targets and following up based on Plant quality policy.
• Supervising and organizing Internal and External Audit and leading annual Management Review.
• Providing Quality Management & Quality tools training.
• Responsibility of metrology methods. Ensuring that Conformity of Production testing is performed according to standards.
• Key contact in environmental topics to authorities. Coordination of environmental management in the plant (such as waste & discharge management).
In this position you report to the Managing Director, Federal-Mogul Göteborg AB.
Relevant Skills:
• Bachelor degree or above, mechanical/production engineering or related majors; more than five years work experience as quality manager or production engineer.
• Experienced lean change agent (Six sigma black belt or similar). Competent within process improvement and problem solving techniques
• Knowledge in ISO9001 also as certified auditor
• Good ability of communication with production operators. Effective written and oral communication in English.
• Good ability of leadership, decision-making, project plan, interpersonal communication.
• Analytical and critical thinking/creative problem-solving skills.
