About the job
We are now searching for a sales driven and operationally focused Travel Commercial Manager to take on the responsibility for our Sales and Marketing team. As a Travel Commercial Manager you will lead the Sales and Marketing organisation in Sweden and Denmark. You will drive profitable Travel sales with a focus on achieving overall route profitability. You together with the team plan the sales and marketing activities including e-commerce, distribution channels, product management, sales support, marketing communications. You will report to the Trade Director for Business Region Denmark and you have a team of approx. 30 employees, including 7 direct reporting managers based in Sweden and Denmark.
Key responsibilities
• Responsible for all Travel sales & marketing activities in market Denmark & Sweden
• Manage travel sales and marketing teams and align activities
• Responsible for Travel sales budget on all 8 routes out from Denmark & Sweden
• Align activates with connecting route of our regions
• Develop and implement Travel sales and marketing activities in line with regional business plan, company strategy and group product portfolio.
• Optimize the distribution channel mix, with particular attention towards digitalization i.e. online sales and marketing, and e-commerce.
• Develop Travel sales and volume forecasts based on market analysis and pricing models to identify segments with highest net contribution.
• Work with Trade Manager to monitor Travel bookings and forecasted volumes by segment to optimize pricing and achieve optimal customer/cargo mix for each route.
• Develop and execute marketing plans based on Brand Guidelines and Customer Touchpoints Handbook to ensure alignment between what is offered and what is delivered.
• Give input to the development of company distribution and brand communication platforms.
Who you are
The position requires a degree in business administration with minimum of 7 year's professional management experience in sales and marketing in B2C, preferable from destination development, travel, hotel or retail. You have a strong digital B2C product marketing experience with developing and maintaining sales and marketing strategies including online sales and e-commerce management. Commercially driven with a proven track record of Product Management, E-Commerce, CRM and data driven sales and marketing.
You are a driven and self-motivated manager as well as a team-player who likes to deliver results and ready to go an extra mile for your colleagues, partners and customers. As a Commercial Manager at Stena Line you must have a strong experience in leadership and you will bring business and people together to create excellent and sustainable performance. You have an eye for details in combination with an analytical mind-set and great organizational skills. Furthermore, it's important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, since you will interact with a broad range of internal and external contacts. Acting with integrity, you easily build trust and commitment. Being used to working in a changing environment, where you have the possibility to be part of creating something new and make a difference, is a key motivation factor.
