Job Description
As the Strategy Lead for Global Change Award you will be part the Foundation's team running this challenge together with a Project Manager. You will be in charge of our flagship program the Global Change Award. The Global Change Award has been running for 8 years and is about to embark on a new chapter taking it to the next level. This role will own and implement the new strategy, running the process of identifying relevant innovators, create and maintain the support program as well as manage a large group of partners that together will support and scale solutions and innovative ideas for a positive impact on people, the planet and the textile industry. Since the program is in transition, the activities and responsibilities might vary over time, and require an agile and pragmatic approach.
Your responsibilities
Responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the overall strategy for Global Change Award - ensuring continuous relevance of the concept and the industry's needs.
Ownership for delivering the intended value and outcome of the GCA concept.
Responsible for developing, and continuously improving the support program together with partners to ensure our winning innovators receive the best possible support.
Stay up to date with the development of the textile industry and the innovation landscape to ensure the relevance of GCA's vision and strategy
Responsible for proactively driving the partnership- and stakeholder-management, both for program partners, nomination partners as well as general collaborative partners.
Responsible for strategic planning and coordinating the execution for the outreach activities in connection to the Global Change Award, such as award ceremony and other conferences ensuring the concept is well known to all relevant stakeholders.
Being an internal and external representative and spokesperson at events, conferences and in press.
Making sure to align the strategic and operational work within other parts of our organisation
Collaborating closely with our other Strategy Leads and the Foundation's Communications team.
Personnel responsibility for project manager and possible future GCA team members
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years' working experience focused on sustainability and innovation in the fashion and textile industry
Experience in leadership and managing a team
Knowledge within, but not necessarily covering all of the following areas: social and environmental sustainability, climate, fashion and textile industry, social innovation, entrepreneurship, systems change, incubator/accelerator programmes, and innovation
A great ability to work in a structured and organized way while enjoying working with complex topics
Problem solving skills and an ability to both work strategically and get things done operationally
Perseverance and the ability to thrive in a changing environment
Experience of building, developing & managing a wide range of stakeholder relationships
A great ability of expressing yourself in English, both in writing and orally
As a person you:
Love the innovation space and are passionate about supporting changemakers on their journey
Have a great interest in the Foundation's area of work
Have an entrepreneurial spirit - being visionary, breaking new ground and challenge assumptions
Need to be structured and good at prioritizing
Have a creative and curious mindset
Have an ability to drive development and projects and at the same time maintain daily tasks
Can work independently as well as in teams in a collaborative way
Have no prestige to dig in on tasks both big and small required for the small team's full delivery

This is a full-time permanent contract based in Stockholm, Sweden.
