Many of us who work at IKEA today have started a job during the summer. Now by the summer of 2022, we are looking for several employees to all of our department stores around the country. Some department stores need summer substitutes as early as May until August. Some department stores will also be able to offer jobs in the evenings and weekends even after the summer period.
This means that you may be currently studying, have an hourly employment elsewhere, not managed to find your dream job yet or simply want to change jobs? We believe in the many people and are hereby looking for all kinds of talents for our department stores during the summer period.
Because who knows... Perhaps it is you who is involved in developing the IKEA of the future, in Sweden or abroad.
WHO ARE YOU?
To enjoy working with us at IKEA, you need to recognize yourself in the following abilities:
Customer focus: You are genuinely interested in the customer. You can easily see things from the customer's perspective, want to understand where we are missing or where there are opportunities and do something about it. You want to provide a fantastic customer service - and so do we!
Like fast pace: Since we often have well-visited department stores, it is important that you appreciate high tempo and sharp throws. And maybe correct a sign that hangs obliquely in the meantime? Chances are you'll like the job with us!
Flexible and Solution-oriented: A job with us during the summer can mean great variety - one day you carefully unpack the lights, the next day you give advice on the best sofa or charge at the checkout. No matter where you work, you have the ability to be positive and have the will to contribute in the best possible way.
Team-oriented: You thrive in teams, easily creating positive and long-term relationships. You are happy to offer your possible mistakes to develop together with your team. You see it as natural to ask for help as it is to help someone else.
Leadership: At IKEA, we value diversity in leadership. A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
Working at one of our IKEA stores can mean everything from receiving goods, stocking up on shelves to helping customers decorate their homes. It can also be to give a good last impression when the customer pays their goods at the checkout and leaves the department store.
In the department stores we have varying working hours between 05.00-23.00 and we work both on weekdays, evenings and weekends. We are looking for you who want to continue working this autumn, as we usually have many part-time positions to offer even after the summer period.
For IKEA Bäckebol we are looking for you who want to work:
• 8h/week until further notice starting around v.18 with a temporary employment of a total of 25h/week for about 6 weeks during the summer period.
For IKEA Kållered we are looking for you who want to work:
• 8h/week until further notice with a temporary employment of a total of 25h/week for about 6 weeks during the summer period.
• 25h/week until further notice
• 25h/week holiday temporary employment for about 6 weeks during the summer period
The summer period is between week 24-35

Our jobs during the summer are popular and we spend a lot of time on our summer recruitment process. This unfortunately means that it can be perceived as long, but hold on, we are working as fast as we can to give you information in the different stages of the process.
Our main contact is via email, so keep an eye on your inbox, but also on your spam as our emails sometimes end up there.
This year we have chosen to skip unnecessary work by writing a personal letter, but instead you will have to answer some questions in text form automatically when you submit your application. In addition to your personal CV. Take the time to answer the questions and answer from the heart.
In this step, you also choose which department store you want to direct your application to.
We are working on an ongoing selection, so we look forward to your application as soon as possible, but no later than February 28.
If you receive an invitation to answer video questions, it will take place between v.8-10 for IKEA Kållered, and v.10-12 for IKEA Bäckebol. Invitations to persaonal interviews can be sent out with short notice and we appreciate your understanding of it. We plan to hold in-person interviews v.10-11 for IKEA Kållered and v.12-13 for IKEA Bäckebol.
Please note that you need to be 18 years of age (no later than April 2022) to be eligible for a summer employment with us.
