The Manager Global Virtual Manufacturing Methods are a part of the Quality and Operation development management team within Manufacturing Engineering. It mainly works with development and maintenance of virtual tools and PLM applications within the M&L organisation and the Develop Manufacturing Process.



The purpose is to drive global development and implementation of virtual tools according to agreed framework, processes, and strategies. The global M&L organisations is the main customer for this work.



Main Responsibilities
Lead and manage the global Needs & Means process in line with VCC IT Strategy for Develop Manufacturing Processes Applications and PLM applications for M&L
Lead and manage the ME IT Strategy Process and Develop Manufacturing Process framework, i.e. application roadmaps, and yearly Business Plan Processes.
Benchmark PLM and virtual manufacturing methods and tools and keep track on emerging technologies in the virtual methods and PLM
Prioritise what new knowledge to focus, develop knowledge, tools and methods for virtual manufacturing and PLM
Develop and maintain interfaces towards stakeholders, suppliers and research institutes aligned with business needs
Continuously develop and set the standard for the generic virtual simulation skills within the business
Lead and participate in OD and PLM Projects based on business needs. Act as interface towards VCC IT
Develop and provide VCC training for virtual manufacturing and PLM Tools for M&L globally
Improve the effectiveness, efficiency and quality in our way of working by developing methods and applications.
With focus on customer satisfaction challenge and support Manufacturing Engineering's (ME) Digital transformation and process development
Secure good interface toward the plants and R&D and VCC IT
Being a part of Quality and Operational Development Management team and support its development
Manage the IT Budget for ME
Lead and develop the Virtual Manufacturing Methods Team



Required Qualifications
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
University degree or equivalent experience in relevant areas
Able to lead and challenge external research partners and suppliers
Leadership experience and skills
Able and interested to travel to strengthen the global way of working
International experience is considered as a merit
Good knowledge of both product development, Manufacturing Engineering and production is a merit
