WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Software Engineer, you will be creating, maintaining functionalities and make architectural changes to the software platform. You will be involved in all phases of development - from innovation/first ideas and all the way through design, test and implementation until final release on the market.
Firmware System section is part of Firmware Platform department within Axis R&D. The team is responsible for both developing of new functionality and maintaining current functionality in our software platform, in user-space Linux. The Firmware Systemsection consists of three teams; Firmware Architects, Linux System/Event System team and Cross-function team. We have currently open positions in the Linux/Event system team. The teams work closely with other parts of the R&D organization, both other teams working with firmware development and product development as well as teams working with solutions, applications and services.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have a master's degree in computer science (or similar) and it is beneficial if you have Axis developer experience.
You are passionate about software development in general as well as having good skills in C programming, Linux environment and network.
You enjoy working with a variety of tasks in complex environments and is driven by technical challenges.
You have experience of and enjoy agile ways of working and people interaction is part of your daily routines.
You are a person who enjoys taking on new challenges and you are not afraid of doing mistakes.
You have experience from working with open source, embedded Linux. Experience from connected software platforms is considered an asset.
You are a good communicator who can communicate professionally with other colleagues and teams, preferably in Swedish (or English).
