hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Stift Stockholms Internationella Fredsforsk i Solna The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) seeks two research assistants to support the development, background research, delivery and evaluation of the 2026 Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development, which will take place on 25-27th May 2026.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development of high-level and SIPRI led sessions - conduct background research and literature searches on relevant thematic topics to ensure Forum sessions are grounded in current evidence and prepare, if necessary, content input to moderators and speakers.
• Act as a focal point for partners delivering sessions at the forum - support them in developing sessions, inviting speakers and provide logisitical support.
• Maintain and update the online Forum platform.
• Serve as part of the hosting team during the event and manage post forum tasks such as reimbursements and evaluation.
We are looking for an organised, solutions-oriented person who is calm under pressure. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a background in peace, development, and international policy.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have as a minimum the following experience:
• Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree with work experience, in a relevant field.
• 1+ years' experience supporting research.
• Experience assisting with large, high-level events.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to manage competing tasks under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
This roles will begin in February 2025. The appointment will be for 5 months (fixed-term contract for Researchers). The post is full-time and based in Stockholm. The salary package will be negotiated individually.
Due to the short term nature of the post, we can only consider candidates who already live and work in Sweden or have the right to do so.
