You will work as part of a world class engineering team leading highly challenging video design and verification activities. As a Senior Video Design Engineer, you will have responsibilities that cover all areas of the design and verification process, from initial concept through to customer deployment. You will be expected to lead the definition and implementation of hardware designs, technically support junior engineers, create and review design and verification documentation and technically own producing high quality, robust solutions.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate:
• Expertise in video codec design and video coding theory
• Experience of the full ASIC design flow from specification to tape-out
• At least 5 years of experience in Verilog and modelling at an architecture/ micro-architecture level.
• A track record of a high degree of technical creativity.
• Specialist skills in low power micro architecture definition and RTL implementation, including hands-on experience using state of the art tools and techniques in numerous complex IP development projects.
• Excellent communication and written skills in English
• Use of UNIX development environments
• Practical experience in industry standard simulation environments
• PERL/ Python/ TCL scripting experience
