MachineGames is looking for a Senior Sound Designer who is highly competent in designing and creating sounds for video games. This position assumes a prominent position on the team, helps establish and optimize production pipelines, mentors junior team members, and contributes to the execution of the vision of the game in close collaboration with colleagues.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Creative Director and other members of the audio team to develop all types of audio assets.
• Create high quality sounds for numerous settings, different types of gameplay, visual effects and narrative events.
• Implement audio using tools and technology at hand in close collaboration with game play designers, effect artists and animators.
• Actively learn tools and technology and explore new features that could be developed in collaboration with tools programmers.
• Assist or drive (if applicable) the final mixes to establish an overall powerful and polished audio experience through the game.
Requirements
• Outstanding sound design skills
• Great experience with designing and creating audio assets for video games and/or movies or equivalent
• Technical understanding of implementing audio using proprietary software or commercial middleware in a video game
• Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Deep familiarity with most musical genres
• Excellent working knowledge of modern studio equipment and industry standard audio tools
• Understands the user experience
• Ability to interface with internal and external development teams
• Skill at post production and mastering
• Good understanding of the video game development process
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to define technical requirements and specifications
• Strong artistic and creative sense
