www.yaramarine.com Yara Marine develops green technologies and services for fuel optimization and is looking for the right person to drive development in sales for all products in the range. To succeed in the role as Senior Sales Manager, you will need persistence and a will to hunt for business, resulting in rewarding relationships with our customers.
Main responsibilities
• Managing all sales and marketing activities of the business worldwide. This involves taking responsibility for order intake, revenues, profit and target achievements
• Setting sales targets and budget, deliver and follow-up accordingly
• Developing and maintaining sustainable relationships with major customers to secure and grow sales
• Contributing to the definition and execution of the growth strategy for the entire business to include key markets, new business opportunity identification and the application of existing products and solutions to new markets
• Delivering profitable sales growth in excess of the market performance
• Customer meetings, negotiations of sales quotations and complete contract proposals
• Ensure a qualitative handover to project execution
• Participate in trade fairs, conferences etc
• Identify and propose change and improvements within the Sales & Marketing area, and participate in the implementation
• Support execution of customer satisfaction surveys as well as evaluating results and taking action in order to improve
• Training and education of Sales Employees and Sales Engineers
Background and skills
• At least 10 years of experience from shipping industry, preferably as equipment supplier or from shipowner/shipyard side
• Solid experience from technical sales and negotiating contracts exceeding 3 MEUR value
• Bachelor's degree within relevant field or equivalent education
• Experience from contract negotiations with customers in Europe, US and/or Asia; demonstrated ability to work with different cultures.
• Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language is required
• The position requires possibility to travel, in order to participate in meetings and sales activities
It 's a merit if you have an extensive professional network in shipping and the maritime sector (shipowners, operators, shipyards, ports, suppliers etc.).
