Our plant in Bohus is a strategic production site and consists of four production plants, five laboratories and several offices.
The key objective of this position is to develop and report new chromatographic methods based on our products and according to requirements set by the customers. Furthermore, acquiring and documenting new knowledge with respect to techniques, processes and products within the actual area/science and closely related areas/sciences. The senior HPLC Specialist has, through the knowledge in the area of expertise, a global role in the development of new methods and applications aimed primarily for the pharmaceutical industry. Main responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory work and problem solving related to chromatography.
• Provide technical support to sales personnel and customers, e.g. at customer sites, in agreement with closest manager with respect to chromatographic separations and DAC column packing in order to offer premium service.
• Ensure that appropriate methods and equipment are used for the experiments and if necessary be able to develop new methods and applications and adapt equipment for the specific task.
• Ensure that lab equipment is maintained, serviced, and calibrated according to policies, guidelines and directives- or in agreement with lab responsible, in order to assure the integrity of the outcome of experiments and analyses. Always give priority to safety aspects of work.
• Perform literature searches and patent searches (alternatively evaluate outcome of patent search profiles) within a desiganted field.
• Participate at conferences within a designated field in agreement with closest manager.
• Master of Science or PhD and with 5-7 years relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Innovative, result oriented, good ability to cooperate.
• Documented communication skills in writing reports and presenting results.
• Fluent in English, preferably also abilities in Swedish.
• Recent experience within the field of chromatography, specifically HPLC including preparative chromatography in an industrial environment, related to both theoretical aspects and hands on experience from running chromatographic instruments.
• Experience from pharmaceutical industry or similar is highly appreciated as well as knowledge and experience in biochemistry and downstream processing.
• Genuine interest in laboratory work and problem solving related to chromatography.
