www.fingerprints.com Our Technical Programs Team at FPC R&D is aiming to expand our abilities within the industrialization of semiconductor packages. We are therefore looking to enforce our team with a Senior Engineer within industrialization and production of semiconductor packages.
The position
You will be working in the Technical Programs Team at the Microelectronic Packaging Department, which is one of the four R&D departments at Fingerprints. The technical programs team is a multicultural and cross functional team, comprised of specialists within areas ranging from advanced semiconductor packaging, high performing materials, FEM simulations, to conceptual hardware design of capacitive fingerprint sensor systems. The team also has the responsibility to assess manufacturability of semiconductor packages for high volume production and to industrialize such semiconductor packaging concepts.
In the position as Senior Engineer within industrialization, your primary responsibility will be to assess manufacturability of Fingerprints semiconductor packages. You will be the link between R&D and Operations for all aspects regarding the design and manufacturing of semiconductor packaging and, as such, you will have a key role in the industrialization of Fingerprints semiconductor packages. Further, you will establish and maintain documentation of Fingerprints semiconductor packaging production platforms that is in high volume operation at our selected manufacturing partners and associated production sites for outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT's). With strong support from our local R&D engineers in Asia, you will lead technical audits of Fingerprints OSATS to ensure that production processes and metrology systems are in place for securing a high performing semiconductor package can be produced in a robust production process, capable of high yield and extremely high volumes.
Your background
The ideal candidate should have:
• >10 years' experience from working with high volume.
• Experience from preventive quality assurance work such as e.g. FMEA
• Experience from Statistical process control (SPC) methods
• Fluent in written and spoken communication of Swedish and English. Korean or Chinese is an advantage
• Ability and willingness for intercontinental travelling, mainly to Asia
• You hold a minimum Master's degree within relevant technical field.
• Experience from industrialization and production of semiconductor devices is an advantage.
• Six sigma certification as black belt (or higher) is considered an
Personality and overall skills
We expect you to be structured and thorough, be able to drive assignments independently and to self-manage priorities, have good communication skills, analytically strong, a creative problem solver with a good holistic understanding of both R&D and production related aspects. You should enjoy to work in multi-site team environment cross-functional as well as intercultural. You have the ability to quickly adapt to new assignments, be service-minded and have a positive "problem-solving attitude" in a fast growing company. Last, but not the least, you must have the commitment and personal drive that it takes to establish a crucial part of the infrastructure needed to produce several hundreds of millions of fingerprint sensors on an annual basis.
The preferred work location is at Fingerprints headquarters in Gothenburg, although other locations may be possible under special circumstances.
