Who are we and what we do
The position will be appointed within Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), Vehicle Engineering, Cab Engineering department in Gothenburg. We are a team consisting of Senior, Lead and Senior Principal Engineers, Scrum Master and work all the way from advanced engineering, through detailed development work and up to product launch. Once the product is in the hands of our customers, we continue take full responsibility for our components as true product owners by monitoring the product performance out on the roads.
Our team is responsible for developing Cab Exterior Front & Side parts for the Volvo brand (FH, FM and FMX)
All areas include advanced plastic and metal engineering with the aim to give our products a premium look and world class quality.
Scrum Master roll
As a Scrum Master you will support teams adopting Agile values and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban or others) while bringing your experience setting up ceremonies and improving ways of working. You will drive to build autonomous and resilient teams. You will foster a continuous improvement culture, encourage value creation and promote feedback mindset.
In this role you will have great opportunities to influence our way of working and drive continuous improvements together with the teams. You will collaborate with Release train engineer and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role. You will contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization sharing your experiences and knowledge.

Your responsibilities
In this role, you will assist the product owner in managing the backlog and guiding the team priorities. You will promote and embody an agile mindset and create a safe environment for open problem-solving. Your responsibilities include facilitating team discussions, decision-making, coaching in Agile practices, supporting value creation, educating through training and workshops. You will also establish collaboration boundaries, share agile knowledge and encourage cooperation among scrum teams. Additionally you will oversee ceremonies like backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-up, retrospectives and sprint reviews, while monitoring process efficiency. Required Competencies
Preferably have several years of product development management experience within Volvo trucks
Relevant experience, mastering one or several agile frameworks
Effective verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and influencing skills
Ability to drive continuous improvement
Complete vehicle knowledge and understanding
Experience with plastic engineering is meritorious
Experience from CAB engineering is meritorious
Fluent in English, verbal and written
Agile certification Scrum Master is a plus (PSM certification -> Professional Scrum Master certification)
Complete vehicle knowledge and understanding
The Scrum Master should be an engineer with the capability to understand the team deliveries, have the personal skills to lead people and have a good knowledge in the Agile way of working.
Experience Required
2-6 years of related Scrum Master experience
Performs well in high-pressure, fast paced environment - both independently and as a team member
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
