As a Residual Value Risk Manager you will have a great opportunity being part of building the function and responsibilities to ensure a proper Risk Management within BMW Group.
In this function your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
The Residual Value Risk Manager is responsible for safeguarding the company 's assets and liabilities from adverse market movements, principally related to residual value (RV) through proactively managing risks and setting risk parameters in accordance with both, economic projections and the risk strategy/appetite of the BMW Financial Services Northern Europe.
You assure that residual value are anticipated, identified, analyzed and communicated appropriately within the company as well as in the BMW Financial services central functions. You will also manages profitability objectives. In case of local regulatory risk requirements you make sure that the local BMW Financial Services entity is compliant with these regulations at all times.
You enjoy the international mindset and grasp the big picture where you will have many contacts towards different stakeholders within the Group and within the different business lines. You will lead and initiate measures proactively in the area based on market developments and regulatory requirements.
Pre-Requisites for the role:
You hold a University degree in Business Administration or Economics, with mathematical or statistical background or equivalent knowledge. You have gained at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the area of Residual Value risk Management in the automotive and/or financial industry.
To be successful in the role you need a high degree of own initiative, endurance and consistency combined with integrative capabilities. You also are experienced in processing and analyzing complex data and have distinctive analytical skills and a strong mathematical aptitude. You combine this with a very good and convincing communication and presentation skills and the ability to tailor these activities for different target groups. You have deep knowledge of national and supranational regulatory frameworks (e.g. Basel III, CRD, CRR).
To be successful in the role you need to be self-motivated, results-driven and have a strong attention to detail. You need to have the ability to think holistically, have high integrity and are willing to go the extra mile. We will place great emphasis on your personal characteristics.
