Now the work continues to reach our ambitious vision that by 2020 no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo.
Within the department, we develop systems such as Collision Avoidance, Autonomous Drive, Driver Support and Protective Safety. To do this we use sensor systems based technologies such as Radar, Laser, Ultrasonic, Cameras and Accelerometers. Through Sensor Fusion, these sensors are combined to create an awareness of the vehicle surroundings that can be used by various Driver Assist and Safety Functions to support the driver.
We are now looking for a Project leader (KU) to the that are responsible for Radars in our cars. We have the mission to offer the best Radars to support both next generation active safety systems and to maintain existing systems in the car. We are involved in all aspects of the product development process, from early research and advanced engineering projects to industrialisation and follow up from the customer. Our Radars makes it possible to offer a number of functions for the customer such as Traffic Jam Assist, Crouse Control, Emergency Braking, Self-driving cars and even more.
As Project leader, you will be responsible for the in-time delivery of the technical content in one of our project, which is a result of deep discussions and collaborations with Supplier and all other involved stakeholders at Volvo Car Corporation, including Zenuity. You will be responsible to establish and develop relationships with representatives and stakeholders from many areas of the vehicle meaning you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network within Volvo Cars. Your closest team will include SW- and HW-responsible, Function and System owner and a people from test & verification.
We are looking for an open-minded, self-driven person that gets energy by delivery in time, solving problems, handling time plans and administrate. It is important to be able to present content and be proactive. Main responsibilities:
• Lead the project and assure that deliveries in time.
• Take lead in technical discussions, both internal and external regarding project status.
• Main contact to supplier.
Required qualifications:
• BSc in engineering.
• Experience from project lead within the automotive industry or equal.
• Driver's license B (car).
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
Meritorious qualifications:
• Experience from embedded system including HW- and SW-development.
• Experience from system engineering or related components/systems are meritorious.
Personal qualities:
• Analytical and structured.
• Problem solver and proactive.
• Great communication skills.
• Self-managed, while being a good team player and leader.
• Positive mindset.
