The Internet of Things revolution is coming to the construction machinery business. Our machines are becoming more embedded with sensors and are gaining the ability to communicate. The resulting information networks and large amount of intelligence will allow us to deliver new business models, improved business processes, and increased productivity to our dealers and construction customers. Our Intelligent Machines provide solutions that generate operator guidance, automation and management information that increases machine uptime and productivity.
The Productivity Services Business Manager is responsible for defining, implementing and launching services and solutions matching the needs from both dealers and customers across the world, in collaboration with our customers, dealers and regional organization.
Main activities and responsibilities:
You will design, launch and support a plan to accelerate and scale the growth of our Intelligent Machine solutions business in the construction industry. You will also be responsible for driving business development, sales and marketing initiatives with Intelligent Machines resulting in additional revenue.
• Identifying market needs, developing commercial aspects of Intelligent Machine offerings supported by solid business cases and maintaining an operational market launch plan
• Develop and coordinate with the regions go-to-market strategies inclusive of business models and pricing
• Ownership of the value propositions as part of the market launch plan
• Drive sales and product training activities
• Bringing input and insight into strategic roadmap and value propositions developed by the Vision 2020 strategic team
It is also up to you to follow up the commercial and financial performance in the regions and implement relevant corrective actions in line with the company and departmental objectives.
As a Productivity Services Business Manager you identify best practices and manage service lifecycle in close collaboration with the global product managers.
Required knowledge & experience:
• Experience in defining, implementing and managing go-to-market activities, preferably in high-tech industries
• Excellent understanding of customer/dealer needs at the machine, site and business level gained through sales, marketing, product experience
We are looking for people with great communication, negotiation and networking skills. The ability to establish and develop relations with other units within VCE as well as its partners and customers is important. You consider yourself being analytical, self-confident, customer oriented, persistent but still a team player. This is a brand new team so therefor it is important that you are also open minded and can come up with unconventional solutions.
You have a positive attitude, take initiative and have the courage to take decisions. You enjoy working towards deadlines and have a natural way of inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams across the organization.
Additional important requirements:
• Marketing or engineering background. University level.
• Fluent in English. Other language capabilities are desirable but not required such as; French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean or Mandarin.
• Willingness to travel (travel >50%)
