(Specifically: Product Owner for Bangalore-based development teams)
The Product Owner is first and foremost responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, which includes:
• Operationalizing the product roadmap into an up-to-date product backlog with clearly expressed user stories in a way that best helps achieve business goals and objectives;
• Ensuring that the product backlog is understood and accepted by development teams and turned into actionable work;
• Continuously working alongside the development teams on realizing accepted user stories as well as preparing for future work;
• Feeding back status and progress of accepted work to Product Management and to stake holders;
• Managing non-roadmap driven work intake such as bug reports, customer and end user input, and technical requirements.
In addition, the Product Owner is expected to:
• Collaborate with Planview Solutions Marketing, Sales, Consulting, Customer Care, Business Operations, Product Development and other stake holders in the delivery of product enhancements and additions, and to resolve product related issues;
• From time to time contribute to internal enablement of product features within the company, and to external customer and prospect interactions to help gain new business or retain customers.
Traits and competencies we're looking for in an ideal candidate:
• Superb command of English (as if it were your native tongue or, indeed, is);
• Communicative skills far beyond average - you possess an array of skills that make sure you always get your point across, and understand others?;
• Have a record of good interpersonal working relationship with teams to ensure smooth delivery;
• Empathic with the customer: customer realities is what triggers your creativity and enthusiasm; you judge ?good design? from how well customers benefit from the product;
• The ability to quickly switch context: from high-level, strategic reasoning to details in interaction design;
• Preferably possess an in-depth understanding of the product and experience working with it;
• The ideal candidate thrives on joint successes over own.
Expected background:
• Have worked in a products company at least three years with either product management generally or in product design;
• Extensive practical experience of cross-cultural, cross-language, geographically dispersed software development work;
• You have a deep understanding of and experience with Indian cultures and working conditions;
• An academic degree within product design is preferred.
Other:
• Position is located to the Stockholm, Sweden Planview office;
• Will work initially and primarily with development teams located in Bangalore, India;
• Frequent travel is required in this position, particularly to India.
