AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals is implementing ALPS (AkzoNobel Leading Performance Systems), ensuring company-wide standardized processes and a culture of continuous improvement.

As Precision Maintenance Trainer you are part of a regional training center staffed with 2 operational excellence trainers - one with production background and one with maintenance background - and coached by ALPS operational excellence experts. Your focus will be on deploying work processes and standards, and improving technical capabilities of operators and technicians.

In this role you will gain technical, operational excellence and change leadership experience as well as get to know the Scandinavian Specialty Chemicals sites and processes. You will be in the role for 1-2 years and then transfer to another position at your home site.

The position supports the Scandinavian sites and frequent travelling (up to 60%) is required.

Main responsibilities
• Responsible for training of technicians in Precision Maintenance.
• Together with site personnel: responsible for implementing standards for precision maintenance.
• Support operator trainer in training Autonomous Maintenance.
• Participate in development of our materials and standards. Support development of enhancements to the training package. For example the use of mobile devices to support these processes.
• Responsible for aligning with manufacturing sites on training schedules, supported by ALPS operational excellence experts.

• Education: Gymnasium or equivalent industry education.
• Solid experience as Maintenance Technician (mechanic).
• Experienced in precision maintenance techniques such as laser alignment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire; in line role and/or in programs like BBS.
• Engized by improving and helping others to improve.
• Enthused by working with equipment.
• Able to lead workshops and deliver training.
• Good communication skills and ability to influence and get things done.
• Seen by others as credible, trustworthy and an expert.
• Focused on results; able to challenge.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate in English and Swedish.

Varaktighet, arbetstid
This is a temporary assignment but you will be a permanent employee on a full time basis from start, reporting to the Director Implementation ALPS and based in Stenungsund.
