The Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in neuroscience that is funded by an EU-project that focus on building bridges between the industry and academia.

Specific subject description
The neurochemistry laboratory in Mölndal is world leading in the field of biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases and it is well equipped with advanced instruments for both proteomics and immunochemistry that can be used for identification and validation of new potential biomarkers.
Job assignments
The post-doctoral research project mainly aims at finding and validating new biomarkers for Alzheimers disease in biofluids such as cerebrospinal fluid and plasma.
Eligibility
To qualify as a postdoc the applicant should hold a PhD degree in the relevant subject. Since postdoctoral constitutes a qualifying appointment for junior researchers, we aim to target those who have a doctoral degree, not older than 3 years from the application deadline.
Assessment
The successful candidate should have a strong background in the field of neurodegeneration in addition to extensive practical laboratory experience. Other important qualities include a strong self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and fluency in writing and speaking English.
