The position is within the Human Capital and Sustainable Development platform and is targeted toward economists working in the broadly defined area of sustainable development. This includes, but is not limited to, fields such as development economics, environmental economics, and health economics. The postdoctoral researcher will be in primary control of their research agenda, as Principal Investigator, within the broad themes covered in the center. While there may be the opportunity to join projects with other affiliated researchers, there is no obligation to do so. There are also opportunities to connect with external stakeholders for collaborative projects. Moreover, there are no teaching obligations for this position, but the Post Doc can choose to teach or supervise students in the Economics Department. The Post Doc will be affiliated with the Department of Economics at Stockholm School of Economics.
Employment starts (unless otherwise agreed) on September 1, 2023, and candidates should expect to complete their Ph.D. by September 2023. Salary: 44 000 SEK per month (before tax). Funding opportunities are available within Misum for individual research projects focused on sustainable development.
We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis and will interview candidates virtually starting end of January 2023 but unless we find someone in the early process, we will keep the call open for submissions until the end of April 2023.
