hela Sverige Product Development Unit RAN (Radio Access Network) Transmission is responsible for IP transmission products and solutions within Ericssons mobile solutions. IP based networks is a vital part of our mobile systems and an important part of the explosive growth in mobile broadband.
We have been developing these products and solutions for the last 3 years and is now taking the next step in our evolution. Our first generation of products have proven themselves on the market and we are now scaling up to implement a broader portfolio of products. To support this growth we need to expand our R&D organization with more talented engineers.
Job Description
RAN Transmission is a young organization characterized by modern products based on Linux and ways of working influenced by agile thinking. Our products is developed in an international environment were you will have daily contacts all over the world, and also opportunity to work on site at partners and in customers live network.
I&V engineers are responsible for ensuring product quality, securing test method and test environment to fulfill all the assigned test activities within approved cost, time and quality frame.
The main activities are at the moment feature and system test of the SIU/TCU nodes, but we are more and more in to perform integration activities both with the different Radio Access Technologies and to support customer rollout and trials.
Your daily work will involve test analysis, preparing test scenarios, writing test cases (and if applicable automate mainly in JAVA), performing tests, evaluating test results and troubleshooting faults.
The test plants consist of real SIU/TCU nodes as well as the surrounding equipment like BSC, RNC, RBSs of the different radio technologies, routers and switches as well as load simulators and real mobiles.
Good possibilities also exist to support customer demos and participate in maintance testing of SW drops to the customers as well as participate in strategic work to define the test setup for comming products.
Qualifications
We would like you to have extensive knowledge of IP technology (protocols, routing, switching, IP applications etc) and good competence in some of the following areas:
• Radio Network Technology (GSM, LTE, WCDMA)
• Radio Network Transmission solutions -IP Networks
• Embedded Linux based systems
• Real time systems (OSE)
• JAVA development for automation
• General Integration knowledge -solving problems
You have solid work ethic and customer's focus. You must be a team player with passion for delivering world class solutions. Ability to take technical leadership is wanted.
A university degree in computer science or similar or equivalent experience is a general requirement. You are fluent in both written and spoken English and like to spread knowledge and educate others.
