Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
The nurse operates the Embassy Health Unit and conducts on-going orientation to
local medical facilities; preventive health care including immunizations and CPR
training and other education for staff; referral to local physicians and facilities;
arranging in-service and employment physical examinations, including pre-exam lab
work. The nurses share on-call duty every other weekend and holidays to liaise between
the American staff and the Swedish healthcare system. When on-call the nurse is
required to stay within 2 hours perimeter from the Stockholm area.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
a. Education:
Registered nurse (licensed) with experience from the Swedish medical system.
b. Prior work experience:
Minimum of five years' experience in the field of nursing. Experience working in an outpatient clinic and with children are merited.
c. Post entry training:
Continuing education and in-service arranged in conjunction with Regional Medical Officer and the medical department.
d. Language proficiency:
Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.
Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing Swedish is required.
e. Knowledge:
Preferably with knowledge of USA/European standards of medical nursing care. Must be able to counsel employees with physical, emotional and/or mental problems. Knowledge of emergency procedures. Ability to conduct orientations and briefings, verbally and in writing. The ability to administer adult and pediatric immunization program according to current CDC standards are required. Experience in CPR instruction or interest to become a CPR instructor is required. Experience with administrative tasks and computer systems necessary.

When fully qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and
