Job description:
This position is responsible for conducting routine independent data analysis and uploads to several IT systems, as well as communication with the Mining Business Line (MBL) product lines and locations regarding best practices and guide lines for data management.
You will need to be able to review and understand both business processes and the IT system points of view and how our own master data relates to these. You will support the product lines that are responsible for product data, with master data harmonization, conversion and maintenance. In addition you will be responsible for making mass changes or uploads to production systems based on business needs and give occasional end user support in data related issues.
You will also assist and support MBL Locations with the implementation of Metso Partners, our supplier and customer master.
You will have broad connections within Metso Minerals MBL both in the nordic countries and worldwide.
Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate for this position has an appropriate academic background, preferably in information or business management or information technology. You can compensate this background with equivalent experience. Preferably you have 2 + years experience in master data maintenance and conversion.
Skills & Abilities:
You have a general understanding of database structures and queries, excellent skills using MS Excel for data analysis and modifications. You have experience of working in SAP or other business software. Skills in MS Access and/or SQL is an advantage. You are fluent in written and spoken English, and other languages is considered an advantage. It is important that you have the ability to travel both domestically and internationally 20-40 % of the time.
You have the ability to research solutions to specific issues and problems and to communicate them in both technical terms as well as in common business language on a variety of levels to the organization. To be successful in this position you will have to be well organized and able to manage large data masses with accuracy. The ability to learn, quickly grasp new concepts and become familiar using new IT systems and tools is required. You must be able to perform well under stress and manage multiple simultaneous assignments and projects. You also have leadership skills and a strong commitment to problem resolution, confidentiality and team building.
This is a permanent employment which is based at Metso Minerals office in Trelleborg. Start date is as soon as possible, according to agreement.
