SKF's extensive knowledge of rotating equipment is captured in Machine Health's products, enabling SKF to accurately predict bearing failure in our customer's equipment.
Your main responsibility as Manufacturing Engineer will be to carry out all engineering activities related to dedicated Product Line, as well as work as the link in between SKF's Development Team and our CEM's (Contract Electronic Manufacturers).
Job responsibilities:
• Drive and carry out engineering tasks to our factories and in technical development projects.
• Build and document knowledge between specification and product function.
• Take part of the units shared responsibility areas, e.g. customer support function, factory contact person, coordination groups
• Support technically all supporting functions such as Sourcing/purchasing, process engineering.
• Be responsible for running continuous improvement activities to define and update design criteria for products and components, within the current product range.
• Ensure that drawings, specifications and other documents related to the product definition, are established, distributed, maintained and archived from enquiry handling, to samples and series production.
• Review the product drawings & other relevant specifications (Group Specifications, packaging Specifications) to fit the purpose before using with suppliers.
• Continuously update and keep informed of key data in present CRM System
• Define the product characteristics and its verification plan if the customer specifications are not met by the current test plan and by the consolidated product characteristics. To carry out the verifications.
• Develop and improve test and support processes and methodologies.
• Receive and release new test equipment according procedure (alpha, beta tests?), receive and inspect test fixture and tooling's according to specification.
• Plan and prepare tests according to test program, as well as set the direction for the testing centre including new test rigs.
• Use design tools such as DFMEA, DFSS, Design review, check list (...) and compile relevant data and records.
• Perform field return investigation of new products in accordance with defined procedure, as well as prepare and publish reports of these investigations.
• Generate, maintain, up-date the lesson learnt and feedback to Product Development/Product Engineering/Product Design organisation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships and high quality communication with Customers/ Partners as well as internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Service Providers, Sales Team) to increase customer satisfaction and to raise exit barriers.
Job Requirements:
• Overall understanding of Electronic manufacturing and supplier process
• Good understanding of Electronic manufacturing process
• Experience of working in SAP / Windchill Environment is qualifying
• Worked with Development and project teams
• Understand production management techniques and Lean manufacturing
• Have continuous improvement or 6 sigma quality experience.
