Learning and Development Team - let's introduce ourselves:
The team is responsible for delivering effective learning and performance improvement interventions to over 60,000 people across our global partner network, covering technical, brand, product and commercial content. We're on the hunt for a senior Learning Experience Designer to join our Learning Solutions team at Volvo Cars.

What you 'll do:
You'll get to join a truly diverse team of experts driving a transformation in our approach to Learning and Development.

Role Purpose:
• Support Learning Project Leads in analysing business requirements and key measurement criteria
• Take the lead in ideating and proposing learning design solutions, translating business requirements into learning outcomes
• Lead and facilitate learning experience design activities, with scale appropriate to need
• Create design concepts and prototypes that match needs and timescales
• Define learning objectives for each learning experience based on required business outcomes
• Develop learning content to meet the defined learning objectives

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who can combine your knowledge of effective adult learning principles with pragmatic, engaging design ideas. We want you to deliver learning experiences that tackle business performance improvement activities in a way that meets the demands of today's learners. You will take responsibility for defining, developing and delivering a suitable learning experience design approach in all centrally driven activities, from certification courses to bitesize learning aids.
To be successful in this role you have to have experience in this or a similar role, with the right blend of creativity and technical skill to be able to take a learning experience from ideation through to implementation.

Key Skill Areas:
• Design thinking - facilitating workshops using design thinking approaches and techniques
• Instructional design & adult learning theories
• Use of multi modal learning design to create learning journeys
• Defining learning objectives
• Creating engaging learning content that supports performance improvement
• Digital content authoring
• Stakeholder communication
• Effective oral and written communication skills (English)

Who are you?
You are probably a few years into your learning and development career, with demonstrable experience in designing and delivering a range of learning experience solutions. You are passionate about creating learning experiences that have a lasting positive impact. You have the drive and resilience to operate in a rapidly changing environment, where priorities can shift and deadlines are tight. You are comfortable working independently but at the same can excel in an international team environment. Global experience is desirable, as is an awareness of the impact of localisation and translation needs on learning designs.
