Valmet is now looking for an Inspection Engineer, preferred location is in Gothenburg/Sweden or Tampere/Finland, any other Valmet key location could be considered.
Valmet is working with deliveries of environmentally friendly heat and power boilers for technically demanding fuels as well as recovery boilers and evaporation plants to the Pulp & Paper industry. Our team of inspection engineers, service engineers and metallurgy laboratory is now looking for a new colleague.
As inspection engineer, you are an important contact to customers for planned maintenance shutdown and breakdowns. You are mainly conducting status- and breakdown inspections of boilers. You are contributing in driving the shutdown forward and give proposals for immediate actions as well as actions to take during the next maintenance shutdown. You gather your observations and analysis in an end report, which is also used in the planning for the next shutdown.
You communicate your valuable insights and experience from the shutdown internally. They are very important for the further development of our technical products and create advantages when selling our products.

• Technical support to customers
You will have the opportunity to travel to customers in and outside the Nordic countries.
To be successful as inspection engineer, you have a solid engineering education and good knowledge about recovery boilers and BFB/CFB boilers. Ideally you have several years of experience from inspections. We highly value skills in material-/welding techniques. Excellent English skills are essential as well as Swedish and/or Finnish. Any other language skills are highly valued.
Most likely you have knowledge in and experience of maintenance. We see established customer network as an advantage. Your skills in written communication are an asset when writing reports, which is an essential part of the work. Furthermore, we appreciate if you have knowledge about PED, ASME and other applicable norms and standards.
You are action oriented, have a strong drive for results and your work is characterized by accuracy. You are a true team player and enjoy cooperation with direct colleagues as well as colleagues in other departments.
