IKEA of Sweden, or IoS, is responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world. Expressed in terms of IKEAs three main processes, IoS leads the processes Creating the Home Furnishings Offer and Supplying. IoS also takes part in the third main process, called Communicating & Selling, which is lead by Retail.
Job description
The Supply Chain function leads the IKEA supplying process, the long-term strategic material purchasing direction and supply development. A focused Supply Chain leadership will support the Business Areas in range and product development, purchasing as well as supply direction. This is crucial for the development of operational purchasing and efficient distribution towards IKEA's common goal, customer success.
We are now looking for a technical specialist/developer to support the future, strategic development of Track & Trace in Supply Chain. As a technical developer in Track & Trace and Packaging Concepts, you will report to the Track & Trace responsible and:
• Evaluate today's situation concerning identification system on multipack- and article level in Supply Chain. If applicable drive and implement new T&T concepts.
• Follow the development of and evaluate new information technologies, e.g. RFID, and if applicable support implementation within IKEA.
• Consequence analyses
• Develop working methods, routines and tools in close cooperation with the whole Supply Chain.
• Support, educate and coordinate the line organization in implementing the new unit load label.
• Finalize the work with unit load labels in the whole Supply Chain, e.g. develop additional unit load labels as picking label and multi article label.
Job requirements
We are looking for you with technical background, preferably within operations management. You have a holistic view, and understanding of the Supply Chain and a "down-to-earth" approach to how information technology can bring business value to IKEA. You are fluent in English, spoken and written. You will get a broad network and your communicative abilities will be important for the success of your work. Since most of your work will be done in projects, your project management skills will also be important.

You are enthusiastic, driven and determined, enjoy working closely with people and have great communication & convincing skills. You have the capability to lead, manage and motivate people with development assignments/projects. You have a strong result orientation and ability to prioritize. You have a problem solving approach and the ability to make holistic, proactive and rational fact based decisions.
