The section EPS System Integration is part of the department Propulsion Energy System, belonging to Vehicle Propulsion Engineering unit. Our responsibilities within Electrical Propulsion System development, consists of:

* Leading of SW integration, Continuous integration (CI), Configuration management (CM), Modelbased testing (MBT) and Software Quality Assurance for EPS

* Leading of HIL-MIL-development within electrical propulsion system

* Analysis & Verification on function, HV-system and sub system level for Charging and Traction Battery

* Diagnostic Analysis & Verification for Charging and Traction Battery and fault tracing of complete EPS system.

The group HIL Development and Charging A&V today consists of 20 very competent members from all over the world. The group is working with framework for automated tests,

Hardware In the Loop development and system testing. The group supports all the engineering departments within the EPS area, meaning take on the responsibility for design and deliveries of Electrical Drive Systems (El machines and Inverters), Battery Systems, as well as Power Supply and Charging Systems for electrified vehicles.

We are now looking for a HIL Developer at Electrical Propulsion System within Electrical Propulsion System.

As Hardware in the loop (HIL) engineer at Electrical Propulsion System you together with our Hil

team are responsible for developing HIL environment for all high voltage components included in the

electrical drivetrain. As part of our expanding team you will be working in a creative environment shaping

tomorrow's virtual methods within powertrain electrification. You will work in cross-functional teams with

other groups within the Laboratory and with our internal customers at R&D. Your mind-set should be

analytic and with an aim of finding solutions. The HIL-team today consists of several very competent

members from all over the world, working with the framework for automated tests and the rest with HILdevelopment.

Main responsibilities

Besides continuous development of working processes and procedures, your daily work will be

combination of diverse tasks such as:

* Model development and validation of models
* Process and method development regarding HIL systems
* Implementing and adapting test object models in HIL systems
* Develop and maintain a personal network with simulation community within P&Q
* Document HIL processes and models within EPS
* Participate in development of testing methods
* Communicating with developing teams and suppliers
* Find technical solutions for new functionality
* Support test automation
* Support the users of HIL

Required qualifications

* B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, SW Engineering or equivalent with emphasis on vehicle and driveline
* Proficient in dynamic modelling using Matlab/Simulink or similar simulation tools
* Knowledge and experience within CAE and HIL system
* Knowledge in dSPACE systems is a merit
* Basic programming knowledge
* Experience in Python is beneficial
* Fluent in English, written and spoken

Meritorious qualifications

* Experience from setting up test sequences and analysis of test results
* Experience of Continuous Integration and Agile methods
* Experience of software development
* Knowledge in CAN communication and Control units in vehicle electrical system
* Experience in Electric Motors, Power Electronics and with Traction Battery technology
* Experience working with Hazardous Voltage or High Voltage system
Personal qualities
We are looking for a person with strong background from previously mentioned qualifications, but at the same time someone who is service oriented and customer focused. You should also have communication skills, be relation oriented and have a drive to encourage people you work with. Further, you need to possess a drive for changes and implementations and be engaged to the tasks that you are responsible for. Moreover, you should be a good team player and at the same time be able to work individually. The person should also be prepared to travel, due to globalization of the company and constant contact with other locations, for instance China.
