Our former Head of Regional/DK Procurement has been given a new exciting opportunity in DS Smith and we are therefore looking to bring a new and experienced procurement professional into our Procurement team to design, implement and drive the strategy for all procurement activities for the Northern European region.

In your regional role you will report to the Regional Finance Director and the Divisional Procurement Director. In collaboration with the Divisional, Regional and local teams you will set the strategic direction for procurement and safeguard implementation to deliver best practice procurement services and solutions that meet the needs of the business - ensuring close working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that we leverage the innovation and IP potential of the supply chain

As Head of Regional/SE Procurement your role will involve:
• Development and translation of Divisional/Regional/SE procurement objectives and stretched targets into regional and national procurement strategies and business plans
• Maximization of DS Smith's Northern European purchasing power to improve its competitive edge and to deliver best value in conjunction with the Group Procurement category teams
• Implementation and follow up on ongoing procurement priorities and processes (including benchmarking) that ensure improved procurement performance
• Monitoring and on-going reporting on procurement activities and safeguard relevant management information to the Regional Management team and the Divisional Strategic Procurement Leadership team
• Forecasting and implementation of achievable KPIs through critical data analysis
• Demonstrate innovation and creativity through new product development and increased performance of your portfolio
• Functional leadership and coaching of a team of indirect procurement employees in a multinational business matrix

Key skills required for the position of Head of Regional Procurement:
• Significant purchasing experience at senior levels
• Excellent commercial and negotiation skills and an ability to think critically and analytically
• Ability to develop and implement new procurement strategies and implement them from end-to-end.
• Strategic mind set, result-oriented, accountable and energetic
• Demonstrated results from independently managing people management in a Matrix organization
• Educated to minimum BA Degree level and ideally CIPS certified
• Fluent in Swedish and English
