Unit/Department Description:
As part of Group Operations, Group Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) supports all four business units and drives Husqvarna's EHS strategy, areas of focus, and development of the EHS organization. The department defines and develops Group EHS requirements, standards, KPI's and works as the lead authority in developing and supporting site and divisional EHS roles throughout the global EHS Network. The department strives to capitalize on synergies and best practices throughout the organization.
Position/Job Description: Impact on business results.
The position of Group EHS Coordinator is a key support function of the head of Group EHS and the members within the EHS network across all global operations. The position ensures relevant performance indicators are known to the business and works to administrate key Group resources and controls for the EHS organization. The position supports accountability in the field and provides assistance to the form of training and leadership.
Essential Duties: Accountabilities/Responsibilities e.g. People Management, Problem Solving, Communication.
• Analyze incident trends throughout the organization, and the subsequent reporting of these trends, along with recommendations for correction or improvement, to the appropriate management level.
• Support and development of local EHS procedures and guidelines for Group EHS
Participation in periodic site audits
• Have project management skills necessary to develop and execute action plans to completion
• Maintenance of systems for environmental and health and safety including Riskonnect and SoFi5
• Make determinations and evaluation of legal requirements as required
• Coordination and participation in EHS "network" meetings
• Participation and coordination of the implementation of incident reporting system and a subsequent key user thereafter
• Develop and administer necessary training on global EHS systems or procedures
• Support for the investigation of incidents / accidents and monitoring measures to be implemented
• Making annual/periodical EHS reports
• Participation in site EHS audits
Preferred qualifications: Education, Experience, Functional & Business knowledge, Specialist Skills
• Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
• Must be fluent in English. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and environmental regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and equipment procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Computer Skills
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Lotus/Outlook, and web browsing.

• Must have the ability to work independently and in team settings to reach a desired outcome.
• Must have the ability to determine areas of focus and be willing to communicate thoughts and opinions on a subject matter.
• Must be willing to develop knowledge base of global EHS requirements
• Must be able to communicate with a diverse group of customers and contacts in a manner that ensures Group EHS requirements are clear and understood
Internal and External Contacts/Customers:
• Position will interact with local supervisors, EHS personnel, managers, and members of top management
• Primary customers will be the global EHS Network and Head of Group Operations
Reporting Relationship:
• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
• In the EHS Organization, the Group EHS Coordinator has a peer relationship with other primary EHS staff, and does not work under the immediate control of any individual facility manager.
Budget responsibility:
The position has no direct budget responsibility but does support the Group EHS budget planning and development
Measure of Success:
The ability of Group EHS to complete projects and planned controls on time and in service to the business units will be a measure of success. The controls will drive company KPI's relative to accidents and environmental performance that will ultimately justify the work performed. The position will help to strengthen the EHS Network in the form of best practice sharing, communication in monthly calls, and organizing annual EHS Summits. The resulting open and honest global EHS organization that drives and implements Group EHS strategy measures will be another measure of success.
