We are seeking a Group Director - Health Economics and Payer Evidence (HEPE) to join our Global Market Access and Pricing (GMAP) function focused on our Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolic (CVRM) portfolio. The GMAP team within AstraZeneca leads by shaping the payer environment; creating and delivering highly valued market access solutions to unlock the potential of our life-changing medicines for patients.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and manage a team of specialists and be responsible for seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough HEPE strategies for payers.
With your ability to connect people you'll provide leadership and strategic direction to the development of an extraordinary HEPE capability as a member of the CVRM Global Therapeutic Area Payer Team. Working cross-functionally and within a global environment you'll maintain a high standard and level of knowledge and understanding regarding payer evidence requirements - scientific, clinical and commercial developments within CVRM. You'll participate in appropriate external forums i.e. special interest groups of relevant organizations to advances AstraZeneca's reputation and expertise in pricing and reimbursement planning and evidence generation.
Essential for the role
* Proven leadership promoting motivation and empowerment of others in order to accomplish individual, team and organisational objectives
* Strategic knowledge of global healthcare systems and how their changing needs for health economics and payer evident could influence skills development
* Knowledge of drug development and/or commercialization within the pharmaceutical/medical industry
* Understanding diverse pricing and reimbursement processes in order to maximise reimbursement opportunities through appropriate and timely payer evidence generation and analytics
* Deep understanding and ability to interpret clinical and statistical data
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills
* Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
* Degree in relevant field such as outcomes research, health services research, epidemiology, health economics, health policy or related fields
Desirable for the role
An in-depth experience of the therapy area as well as expertise on clinical trial and RWE methodologies is a great plus.
