We are looking for you who have the experience in working with fire prevention, fire management, emergency evacuation and natural hazards. You also have knowledge when it comes to international standards and norms as well as being knowledgeable about the design process, operational risk management, property and facility management.
The Fire Safety and Natural Hazard Team is part of our Center of Expertise on a global level and your role includes supporting several key stakeholders internally on both global and local level as well as our external partners. Because of that we also need you who have the knowledge about project management work to meet the objectives of standards set by government laws and regulations, as well as IKEA policies. Assessing and mitigating risks in a business environment is another task you are acquainted with.
As a person you are good in directing effort to achieve both short- and long-term objectives. You build good and trustful relations throughout the organization. Since Ingka is on a journey where we are testing and trying different ways of doing business, you also need to be able to handle unclear or unpredictable situations as well as driving change. You are also someone who acts honest in accordance with moral or ethical principles.
To succeed in the role as Fire Safety Specialist you will need:
• University degree in engineering, in fire prevention, fire management and emergency evacuation or work experience that is seen as equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management work, preferably in a multinational company.
• Experience in risk management related to natural hazards and climate change risk exposure and/or insurance risk engineering is a merit but not a necessity.

Your responsibilities
As a Fire Safety Specialist, you will support in all areas within the team's scope of works to ensure a holistic and proactive risk handling for Ingka Group. In this role you will do many different tasks, including:
• Support in the development of strategic and tactical objectives, and you will be part of the development of Ingka's operational risk management work including training and compliance.
• Develop and maintain the Ingka Fire Safety and Natural Hazard Risks framework and supporting materials.
• Provide ad-hoc support within Ingka's expansion process supporting design teams, undertaking project reviews of investment reports etc.
• Support Ingka's global insurance survey program
• Support in monitoring emerging risk trends globally what can impact Ingka Group.
• Deliver subject matter expertise support for the areas of fire safety, natural hazards and climate change risk exposure.
You will report to the Safety & Security Manager and the position is in Malmö, Sweden.
