Job Description
This role supports management of the groups glo bal Excess, Discontinuation and Obsolescence in order to minimise the financial exposure to the group.
Responsibility for Discontinuation process of products through all categories, starting from setting and maintaining of the Global Discontinuation Dates to placing final orders. Close contact with Product Managers, Regional Catalogue Planning and Supply Planning.
Collaboration with regional Excess and Discontinued stock coordinators in the regions to plan and reduce central inventory
Identify and address potential future Excess and Discontinuation issues
Work closely with Distribution planning in booking orders for discontinued stock
Key task areas
Contribute to preparation and publication of reports to the groups Global and Regional management teams.
Work closely with central and regional functions to develop and maintain good working relationships, communication and transparency of E&D
Work closely with Distribution planners while booking the markets/regions orders and follow up to; minimize lead times from ordering to shipment
Analyze monthly and report to regions outstanding allocations for products that have reached their discontinuation date
Consolidate orders from markets and booking for the dates specified, regular reporting on what has been shipped
Checking the status of the orders booked and cleaning up the data
Competencies and qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree within Business (or equivalent theoretical or practical competence)
Fluent in English
Computer literacy (especially in Excel)
Numerical and analytical skills
Multitasking ability
Result driven (that includes taking in itiative to problem solving and being creative)
Customer focused
Strong communications skills
Have a cultural awareness
