We offer both undergraduate and post graduate programmes and courses. The interest in caring, social work, and welfare, as well as existential queries and artistic perspectives, originate in the University College history, starting in the late 19th century. With this background, our mission is to understand and counteract human vulnerabilities, including factors that cause and uphold inequities. We want to create and distribute knowledge, challenge the taken for granted, and contribute to a better and more sustainable society.
Our research is conducted within a broad spectrum of subjects such as Civil Society, Health Care Sciences, Social Work, Palliative Care, Welfare and Diaconal Law.
ERSTA SKÖNDAL BRÄCKE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, THE DEPARTMENT FOR HEALTH CARE SCIENCES, IS NOW HIRING A POSTDOC IN THE PROJECT INCLUSION HEALTH FOR WOMEN IN HOMELESSNESS.
About the project:
Women in homelessness face extreme health inequities resulting in considerably shortened lives. The overall aim is to develop and implement healthcare interventions for inclusion health among women in homelessness in Sweden.
The planned interventions focus on: (1) Increasing RNs' and student nurses' knowledge about inclusion health for women in homelessness; (2) Developing eHealth for women in homelessness; and (3) Developing and implementing a National action plan for care of women in homelessness with experiences of abuse, assault and trauma.
The Swedish Research Council and FORTE provide funding for the project.
Project role and tasks:
In this post-doctoral position, you are expected to contribute to new knowledge through leading and conducting research of high scientific standard, from design to publication. This position entails cross-disciplinary research with researchers from multiple disciplines, such as caring sciences, epidemiology, pedagogy, political science, and women's' health. The project focus is on changing healthcare practice, through intervention- and implementation research to promote inclusion health among women in homelessness.

The project is located in Stockholm, Sweden, and therefore basic knowledge of Swedish language may be helpful.
