Are you ready to drive sustainability and tackle climate-related challenges on a global scale? Join Tetra Pak as an Environmental Engineer in their Climate Nature team, where you'll play a critical role in shaping a sustainable future

Why Tetra Pak?
Tetra Pak is a global leader in food and beverage processing and packaging solutions, known for its innovative and sustainable approach. With a presence in over 160 countries, Tetra Pak develops and manufactures packaging that not only preserves food safely and efficiently but also reduces environmental impact. With the mission "Protect What's Good," reflects their commitment to safe food, sustainability, and creating a positive impact on the world. As they work toward ambitious climate goals, including a 46% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050, they continue to create solutions that make food available everywhere-while protecting the planet for future generations.

About the role:
As part of the Climate Nature team, you'll be at the forefront of Tetra Pak's ambitious goal: reducing carbon emissions by 46% from 2019 levels by 2030, with an ultimate target of net-zero emissions by 2050. This role is essential in implementing sustainable practices across the entire value chain, from responsible material sourcing and eco-friendly transportation to energy-efficient manufacturing processes.
Working alongside a talented group of ten engineers and sustainability experts, you'll contribute to decarbonizing the value chain while supporting Tetra Pak's growth and market share expansion.

Your Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce Tetra Pak's carbon footprint across 52 global sites and in collaboration with customers and suppliers.
• Collect relevant data to assess climate-related risks and opportunities, working closely with departments such as Supply Management, Finance, and Risk and Management.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and lifecycle analyses to measure carbon emissions related to packaging machinery.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source environmentally friendly materials and promote sustainable transportation methods.
• Provide regular sustainability reports to the Climate Director and other stakeholders, highlighting progress toward emission reduction goals.

Who are we looking for?
We're seeking a team player who thrives in collaboration and is eager to engage with colleagues across departments. Curiosity and analytical skills are essential! You should enjoy diving deep into data and asking questions to uncover valuable insights. Above all, you're responsible and take ownership of your work, driving projects forward with diligence and accountability. If you're passionate about sustainability and enjoy both teamwork and detailed analysis, this role is made for you!

Qualifications:
• A technical academic background, such as a master's or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related fields
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of Excel

Nice-to-have:
• Expertise in carbon footprint reduction, environmental impact assessments, or related areas
• Familiar with TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) principles
• Experience working in international sustainability roles, ideally with exposure to EU regulations or in collaboration with large organizations
