We are now looking for an Energy Storage Engineer!
Description
You will be part of the Advanced Battery Technology (ABT) organization within NEVS, responding to the ABT Energy Storage Manager. In this role, you will support the Lead Engineer for Energy Storage solutions.
In this role, you will support in the development and implementation of Li-ion batteries in all stages of the project. These tasks will be performed in a close collaboration with the following areas: Battery Management System, Rechargeable Energy Storage System, Powertrain, Charging Systems and Thermal Management System.
The role as Energy Storage Engineer involves:
- Responsible for FMEA documentation on battery module level
- Supporting in development of new models of performance, aging, and functional safety for Li-ion and next generation batteries
- Support the development of system and component level requirements
- Collaborate closely with our development partners and suppliers
- Development and investigation of high-energy lithium battery cells and materials
- Support in test and validation planning
We are looking for someone who has;
- Master or PhD in (electro)chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field
- Extensive experience from testing Li ion batteries on cell level and module level, experience from electric vehicles seen as meritorious
- A solid understanding of electrochemical technologies for Lithium-Ion Battery
- Matlab/Simulink, COMSOL/ANSYS and Post-Mortem experience
- Fluent English language skills, Mandarin is seen as meritorious
- Preferred Driving License B
