Are you eager to use academic knowledge and coding skills to solve real-world problems? Do you possess a strong technical background and thrive in a dynamic work environment? The autonomous department in Scania R&D is seeking a talented and motivated Deep-learning Algorithm Engineer to join the AI Technologies group. You play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our machine-learning algorithms.
The group AI Technologies covers the complete task from data selection, annotation, Deep Neural Network (DNN), and other algorithms development to deployment of our DNNs on the target system in our autonomous driving prototype vehicles. As part of this role, you will:
• Design, train, and implement DNN algorithms for different tasks for self-driving vehicles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design optimal models
• Stay up to date with the very growing field of AI
• Work with industrial research and pre-development in a collaborative and agile team at Scania
Your profile
Our team is diverse with a mix of backgrounds and experiences. We are result-oriented, self-driven and face new challenges with a positive, can-do attitude. To enjoy working with us we believe you are open and curious towards your teammates, supportive and contribute to the development with your technical expertise. Furthermore we think you have the following to succeed in this role:
• Master's in computer science or related
• Solid python and deep learning coding skills (Pytorch or Tensorflow) with proven hands-on experience
• Ability to work practically and deliver in an applied industrial research environment
• Cloud experience
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
The following is not required, but nice to have:
• PhD in related area
• Experience in computer vision
• Expert knowledge in unsupervised learning
Passion for working in a very fast-paced technology area and in an industrial research and pre-development setup.
