The Dealer Business Management organization is responsible for development of the dealer network and its competence including business plans, definition and implementation of Parts & Accessories, and Marine and Industrial engines strategy in collaboration with other segments to secure the business growth through the sales of parts, accessories, engines as well as aftermarket support and customer satisfaction.

The European dealer network includes ~80 Volvo Penta Centres and 800 Volvo Penta Service Dealers. The partnership, profitability, satisfaction and loyalty of the Volvo Penta Centres are vital for sustainable long-term business growth and stability of customer support, where Norway, part of the Market Unit Nordic, is one of the key markets in Europe.

As Dealer Business Area Manager, together with your local team you plan, control and develop all activities concerning marketing and sales to achieve the strategic business and sales objectives

Main areas of responsibility
As Dealer Business Area Manager, your responsibility is mainly:
• Identify the market potentials and develop the dealer structure accordingly
• Develop business of parts, accessories and engines sold via dealers as well as the aftermarket support to the customers, identify opportunities to increase sales
• Develop and implement the Volvo Penta Center Business Plan, secure Volvo Penta Center Sales/profitability to fulfil yearly target letter, coordinate with colleagues in other segments regards the engine sales
• Implement marketing activities via dealer network covering the local needs and Volvo Penta global key focused areas
• Plan and perform regular VPC and VPS audits according to Dealer Operating Standards (DOS), implement the necessary actions accordingly
• Monitor and improve dealer satisfaction to Volvo Penta which including service dealer's loyalty to local VPCs
• Maintain, develop and support the OEM/OEM dealer in all segments via VP networks, building excellent relations to both in B2B and B2C context
• Continuously supporting and developing the engine sales capability and the application competence together with the engine sales teams
• Continuously supporting and developing the aftermarket capability and the technical competence together with the market support team
• Identify training needs and carry out in the areas of commercial competence both in the dealer level and in internal organization
• Prepare and process internal & external business reporting
• Communicate customer information

Qualifications [Education, Experience & Technical Expertise]
We believe that you should have a university degree in business management, additional technical background within mechanical engineering is a plus. As responsible for the dealer business development as well as your own personnel, you need experience in the sales area/aftermarket business development.
