The Information Management department resides in the Digitalisation department and is part of the staff functions in BA Wind. The responsibility areas of Information Management department are Data Management, Content Management and Document Management.
In Information Management we:
provide the governance and the strategic and tactical foundation for BA Wind to safely and efficiently manage and utilize data- and information assets
govern data and information by fostering a culture of accountability, transparency and collaboration across BA Wind
provide the governance framework for BA Wind to safely and efficiently manage, use and re-use its data- and information assets
establish and maintain a robust information management framework that provides for both tactical and strategic decision making as well as for operational execution

The Information Management department contributes to the overall Digitalisation agenda of making the Digitalisation journey happen for BA Wind, enabling the BA Wind strategy and defining the target Digital landscape and drive the realization of the Digital roadmap.
The position as a Data Governance Manager is a new role in the Information Management department, with accountability for data governance across BA Wind.

Job Description
Define and establish the data governance framework within BA Wind, aligning with the overall (group) organizational information governance strategy and objectives.
Contribute to the data strategy where relevant.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement data governance practices and embed them into existing business processes and systems. One such example is to establish practices for using the data catalogue and to support data stewards in proper registration of data products in the catalogue across BA Wind.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. data engineers, IT architects, information management specialists) and business stakeholders to establish and implement data governance policies, standards and best practices.
Collaborate with relevant functions in information security, data protection, quality and audit to further develop and mature data governance policies, standards and guidelines that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Contribute to establishing a data quality framework in BA Wind and as part of this introduce KPI's and metrics to monitor and measure various data quality aspects like integrity, consistency, and completeness. Monitor adherence to policies, taking corrective actions where necessary.

The location of the position is flexible. This can be: Stockholm, London, Kolding or Amsterdam. Regular traveling is required to the main Wind offices. You will be part of a growing organization with a lot of opportunities to develop.


Qualifications
Educated to degree level in Data/Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or relevant industry experience. Your English is strong, both verbally and written. In addition, the following qualifications are important for this position:
Proven experience (5-8 years) in the data & information management domain and in a Data/Information Governance role or similar
In-depth understanding of data governance concepts, principles and best practices
Strong knowledge of data management frameworks, data lifecycle management and data quality management practices
Experience in defining and implementing data governance frameworks
Familiarity with information security requirements and regulatory requirements (such as GDPR)
Knowledge of the wind energy sector is a benefit
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements
A self-starter who is result-oriented and capable of working both independently and in a team set up

Ability to prioritize and focus
A quick learner with a hands-on attitude who is willing to take on responsibility and continuously develop
Excellent analytical skills and able to understand requirements from non-technical internal and external business representatives
Team player with excellent cooperation skills dealing with different cultures in an international setting
Consulting skills to advise stakeholders on all levels on the way forward
Good sense of humor
Willingness to travel (in the order of a few days per month as an average)
