We are currently seeking a Continous Improvement Manager (CIM) to AkzoNobel's site in Malmö/Sege. This is an exciting opportunity within an exciting company going for a journey working with continuous improvement (CI). For the right person we can offer great possibilities and challenges within CI.
AkzoNobel is implementing ALPS (AkzoNobel Leading Performance Systems), ensuring company-wide standardized processes, a culture of continuous improvement, process-centric behaviors, company values and required capabilities. ALPS focusses on Manufacturing (mainly production, maintenance, technology, QC), Supply Chain, Procurement, HSE and Engineering.
As CIM you support the business by leading and drive CI and operational excellence initiatives focusing on both technical and non-technical aspects at AkzoNobel's site in Malmö/Sege. The CIM will initially focus on to organize and plan the continued implementation of ALPS to ensure it fully and successfully is absorbed into our daily work. As CIM you will take an important role in visualizing the profits of working with CI and also in proving the value it brings for the organization. You will support, coach and do trainings for all site employees at all levels within the organization.
Main responsibilities
• Support all levels in the organization in developing and implementing action plans to minimize non-value adding wait time, work and re-work
• Promotes a structured problem-solving approach, supports and challenges the workforce and local management team in direction setting, prioritization and implementation of improvement activities
• Develops and expands local capabilities in applying continuous improvement tools and methods (i.e.Lean, Six Sigma)
• Deploys and sustains the ALPS manufacturing program including a coaching support structure to drive CI initiatives and ensure sustainability of improvements
• Coaches Advanced and Lead Practitioners, and local staff/management team on site and gives reinforcement training on selected topics
• Manages the improvement project funnel including scoping, project assignment, resource planning, tracking of progress and benefits and controlling sustainability of outcomes
• Network within the AkzoNobel CI community and shares insights, problems and opportunities to promote improved performance and problem-solving across the company as well as encourages others to do the same

We are looking forward to your application!
• BSc, or preferable MSc within technical, business or economic field
• 5+ years relevant working experience in an operational role, e.g production, maintenance, logistics, process engineering, continuous improvement
• Experience in change processes; Lean and/or Six Sigma implementations or similar is desirable
* Experience in continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous Improvement methodologies and tools
• Strong capability within project management
• Fluent in Swedish and English (both written and spoken)
