PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Ensure the fine details of assembling different interrelated components are put into a release and change management actionable schedule and coordinate with different stakeholders for requirements, testing and release calendar of necessary components.
Own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for both the powertrain and the applications in the Appstore of the business engine platform. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, projects and programs.

Design release guidelines that should be implemented across the company.
Coordinating processes between different teams in various locations
Initiating and overseeing progressive release processes (CI/CD)
Build deployment pipelines
DUTIES:
Responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments
Managing risks that may affect release scope
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Aligning market, functional and technical requirements towards the powertrain and the Appstore
Producing deployment, implementation and run book plans
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across the business engine platform portfolio
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or computer science preferred
Master's degree a plus
3-5 years of total work experience, preferably in the change and release management area
Experience managing full life cycle of projects and overseeing software release implementations
Agile development methodology experience (Scrum/Kanban) preferred
Ability to work independently and in small teams, partner effectively cross-group, and manage multiple priorities and deliverables concurrently
PREFERABLE COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure tasks are completed in time with the release schedule
Passion for software quality, delivering high scale services and achieving engineering excellence
Experience in delivering scalable and high performance services
An expert understanding of software development lifecycle
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
