The area of the business for which there is currently an opening is in Decorative Paints in the Nordics where our brands are household names such as Nordsjö, Sadolin, Pinotex, Cuprinol and Hammerite.
Decorative paints within the Nordics is a ¬160m turnover business with a local production facility in Sweden and distribution points in Sweden and Denmark. Commercial organizations are located in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland where we have a mixture of retail and trade distribution, as well as sales through company-owned stores, Small Scale Oulets (independent and franchised) and Large Scale Outlets. Our company-owned stores business is a key part of our distribution strategy servicing mainly professional painters and some consumers segments.
Job description
With the ability to work through the detail and turn information into insight, this person would work closely with the Nordic Company Stores Manager and partner him in delivering a world class stores business. You would be a key member of the Stores Management Team. Your main responsibilities will be;
• On a weekly and monthly basis provide information on the stores performance (sales, margin, profit and OWC looking on a standalone and roll-through basis) bringing together information from a number of different accounting systems
• Lead the delivery of a Nordic stores reporting cube (project started)
• On a monthly basis ratify the forward looking performance as part of the IBP (Integrated Business Planing) cycle of stores and where necessary advise the Stores Manager on potential courses of action
• Would provide key input into the delivery of ISIS - the stores IT system that will deliver one IT system for the stores by the end of 2014 (currently under construction in Denmark)
• Deliver monthly insight to present in stores management meetings
• Would support hard close and year end requirements to validate a variety of financial accruals
• Lead the In Control Process ensuring compliance of stores to business controls and authorisations (e.g. sign off authorities)
• A key part of the delivery of the Stores Transformation project
• Coaching stores managers and employees on an ad hoc basis with Finance For Non Finance training
Qualifications
You have a university graduate (Masters / MBA) in a relevant direction, for example Finance & Accounting / Controlling and minimum 4 years experience in a financial position. You also have good influencing skills and excellent command of English. It is necessary to have good planning and organizing skills. You have an aptitude for learning new systems and a desire to instigate and influence change. To be successful in this role it is important that you are very good with Excel, SAP BW, SAP, Hyperion, and MS Office.
