Reporting to the CEO, this is an exciting opportunity for a CFO to join an entrepreneurial company and play a critical leadership role in the development of the business as it continue its commercial expansion.

As CFO you will be responsible for multi-site functions, including all finance activity, IT infrastructure, HR administration, Legal coordination and Supply Chain management. Head Office is located in Uppsala, Sweden with subsidiaries in the US, France, UK and Germany. Gyros have a minor number of strong owners which enable Gyros for big growth plans.

Dina arbetsuppgifter
As CFO you will have a key role in the company. You will head the Business Support group consisting of Administration, Finance, IT, HR, Legal and Supply Chain. Approximately 10 people work in this group, and you will hold direct line responsibility for 4 employees.

As the CFO, you will provide quantitative and qualitative support to the CEO and the Executive team when making high-impact decisions aimed at improving corporate value. You will manage and cultivate existing and new relationships among them banks, corporate institutions as well as key government contacts. The CFO will work closely with the CEO to identify new opportunities and challenges for the business.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for overseeing all finance activity (including; financial reporting, tax, treasury, cash management, working capital management, internal controls, forecasting, financial modelling and budgeting), IT infrastructure, HR administration, Legal coordination and Supply Chain management. Having complete responsibility for the improvement and development of systems, processes and controls and the mentoring of a talented team.

Other responsibilities will include:
• delivering highly competent Board level strategic planning as part of the management team
• participate in the developing of new commercial activities which drive revenue
• company secretarial duties
• drive productive relationships with colleagues, partner organisations, owners, banks, insurance companies etc..
• the close monitoring and management of corporate governance and additional due diligence on merger and acquisition activities
• jointly managing both crucial ad-hoc projects and the day-to-day management of the business in the CFO area
• developing and growing your team.

Utbildning/erfarenhet
To meet the demands of the CFO role you should have comprehensive management experience, preferably within Life Science, and in an international environment. Perhaps you have previous experience of working for a smaller corporation. You are probably a master in economics, preferably with a MBA. You have experience from the industry and knowledge of budget, forecast, supply chain, HR, IT and general administration. Understanding of business development and sales management is an advantage. You have good experience of running both larger and smaller projects across functional boundaries, and you are used to holding presentations.

You express yourself very well in English, both orally and in writing, when in touch with foreign colleagues, clients, partners and subcontractors.

To achieve success within this role, you are a person driven by your own, internal motivation, you work independently and are not afraid to make decisions. You act in a professional and structured way to achieve your goals and those of the company. You possess excellent ability to lead and support your staff, and you communicate well in a variety of situations. You are confident and reliable in your role, and flexible when necessary.
