We are now looking for a Business Controller to join the Swedish organization. For the right person we can offer a challenging role in an international and fast-moving environment.

About the role

As our new Business Controller in the Swedish organization you will be an important part of the Finance Department, reporting to Finance Director Nordics and being responsible for following up all Indirect (overhead) costs (c160mSEK) for Sweden. The main responsibilities in the role will be:

• Budget
• Forecast
• Month end closing
• Following up on results and acting on discrepancies

In addition, the role will also include control and reporting activities around Stock and COGS (Total Price Variance) at month end. This includes calculation of Total Price Variance Reporting, updating Standard prices, and completion of all Sarbanes-Oxley controls associated with Indirects. Monthly reforecasting, as well as the monthly close processes will make you support the business in keeping a tight control on the indirect costs budget. You would also challenge budget holders to identify opportunities for Value Creation, prepare inputs for Bonus calculation and accruals, and complete adhoc analysis.

Who are you?

The role will demand well-developed interpersonal and communicative sets of skills since you will support stakeholders with analysis and information around the Sweden Head Office Indirects and challenge these stakeholders to help them maximize their value for the entity. This will be achieved through providing input and knowhow but also new ways of thinking and working so you need at least a couple of years in a similar controller role in a complex and fast-moving environment.

As a person you are ambitious, reliable and comfortable with a high paced and changing environment. You need to be adaptive but at the same time able to prioritize and drive your agenda independently. You are comfortable to interrogate and dissect large volumes of data to ensure it is accurate and have strong attention to detail, whilst at the same time being able to summarise detailed analysis to key stakeholders. You are a genuine team-player but still able to work independently and your approach to your work is characterized by a positive "can do attitude".

Your background

We are looking for you with a university degree within finance, accounting or equivalent. It is mandatory with strong Excel and Outlook skills. To be successful in the role you also need basic accounting knowledge and experience of closings as well as a few years of experience from a controller-oriented role where you have worked with big amount of data.

Since you will be communicating with stakeholders and interfaces within the whole company as well as the UK Head office you need to be a clear and crisp communicator with fluent English in both writing and speaking, and even make the complex simple for non-finance people. In the role you will also benefit from previous experience of SAP.
