Role mission & context
The service area End User Services includes Client, Support, IAM and UCC Services. As Business controller Service Area EIS, you will be part of the service area EUS team and you will have responsibility to support and drive the financial agenda. You have a key role in managing and optimizing the financial process to secure a good control of the cost and the accomplishment of the business case for your Area. You operate in a global context, having a number of interfaces with stakeholders and to the infrastructure partner
Key responsibilities
• Support decision-making in providing relevant and thorough financial analysis and insights
• Ensure that all services are delivered according to contracted supplier obligations
• Secure financial follow up with transparent structure and high quality
• Secure Chargeback process in your area
• Lead planning process (budget, estimates) within served functions and secure target fulfillment
• With a high degree of pro-activity, support the served function in securing that financial KPI's are met
• Analyze Partner-sponsored initiatives to ensure their financial viability
• Ensure that agreed Supplier financial responsibilities are not converted into Expenses
• Monitor savings objectives are being met and alert the functions that are responsible to take corrective actions
• Follow up the accomplishment of your area business case
Critical competencies for the position
You have proven experience as a business controller and demonstrate core values according to the Organization Way. You will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate within a multi-cultural environment.
• University/Master's Degree or equivalent in relevant area
• Strong personal drive and desire to exceed expectations
• Experience from Financial and Business controlling
• An open and positive attitude with ability to create an inspiring and motivating climate.
• Flexible and interested in financial processes
• Excellent communication & presentations skills
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations
• Very strong personal integrity and credibility
• Complete proficiency in English
Role Mission
The Business Controller role is driving and leading financial processes within a specified area, working in the process "Manage Financial Resources." As a business partner, the Business Controller works closely with the business with analysis, follow-up as well as supporting business decision, consistently striving to maximize the added value in order to improve the business performance. The Business Controller will focus on performance and value creation as part of the selective management teams. The Business Controller is working in the context of the Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP) for including IT financial framework. The Business Controller needs to ensure closing and accounting processes are followed.
This role occurs at Professional Development Step B,C,D and E
Responsibilities and Powers
Key responsibilities
• Implement and secure financial guidelines and routines
• Drive financial agenda in their own area of responsibilities
• Ensure correct figures each month in their own area of responsibilities
• Analyze and report financial performance with comments
• Secure Budget/Forecast/Estimate precision and cost management
• Challenge planning figures in their own area of responsibilities
• Initiate and follow up on improvement actions
• Guardian of financial rules
• Perform transactions in accordance of accounting principles
• Train the business in tools
• Provide analysis on requests

• Challenge and support in terms of efficiency and performance in line with the overall strategy and objectives, consistently striving to maximize the added value in order to improve the business performance
• Driving synergies and constantly prioritize the efforts based on risk and value creation
• Perform proactive controlling and drive the cost awareness in management team in order to achieve short and long term financial targets
• Support decision-making in providing relevant and thorough financial analysis and insights
• Perform root cause analysis within specified area
• Initiate and follow up improvement actions
• Continiously improve way of working
• Standardize controlling tasks and processes
• Organize training courses for the business
• Facilitate communication across countries/regions/functions

• Set financial target with CP&IT Management
• Drive common way of working
• Act as a financial advisor with deep experience
• Contribute as speaker/mentor/coach in area(s) of expertise
• Do the line manager role for direct reports in the respective function
• Be responsible for team member's motivation and well-being in the assignment
• Manage task distribution and workload within the responsible area
Education/Experience Recommended
• University degree in finance
• At least 2 years of working experience within the financial and/or accountant area
at Professional Development Step C
• At least 4 years of working experience within financial and/or accountant are or at least 2 years of working in Step B
at Professional Development Step D
• At least 4 years working experience within business control and 2 years in Step C
at Professional Development Step E
• At least 6 years of working experience within business control wtihin business control and 2 years in Step D
