Job Description
Do you want to monitor and guide Vattenfall IT when it comes to Business Continuity Management while staying on top of the latest digital security trends, technologies, laws and regulations? Do you know the area well, have a pragmatic attitude and like to work in a dynamic international environment? Then you might be the Business Continuity Officer that we are looking for to further strengthen our team.
Business Continuity is an increasingly important area for Vattenfall, which is facing ambitious digitalization agendas in a time of increasing cyber threats, and regulations. Therefore we are looking for an experienced and ambitious person who is not afraid of asking critical questions, constantly strives for improvement, and is capable of challenging the status quo of how we manage Business Continuity within Vattenfall IT.
You will report directly to our Head of IT Quality within the CIO Office, but also have reporting duties to IT Management Team and other functions in Vattenfall, e.g. Corporate Security & Resilience.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Contingency Planning - Identify potential Business Interruptions, align safeguards against these interruptions, and implement recovery procedures in the event of a business interruption. Provide documentation and training on Contingency Planning concepts and procedures.
Disaster Recovery - Aid the Disaster Recovery Team in safeguarding data processing operations by identifying potential problem areas and single points of failure that may result in interruptions to critical data processing operations. Work with operational teams to Develop and implement effective and time appropriate Disaster Recovery. Monitor to that Disaster Recovery Plans and Procedures are in place and maintained.
Business Recovery - Develop safeguards and Business Recovery Plans for Vattenfall IT core infrastructure and critical services and functions. Align with Business Continuity stakeholders in the Business to align expectations and capture continuity demands.
Risk Management - Identify and Categorize outage exposures that could cause a business interruption. Ensure that Business and Regulatory Requirements are adhered to and that implemented recovery procedures and contracts are cost justifiable.
Development - Directing or assisting in the development of Business Continuity Plans and Procedures, and providing regular status updates to Vattenfall Group functions.
Administration - Coordinating routine updates to the detailed information supporting the Business Continuity Procedures (e.g., contact lists, personnel assignments, hardware and software specifications, network diagrams, vital records management and inventory lists, off--site back--up schedules, etc.). Coordinating electronic access to, and hard copy distribution of, the Business Continuity Plans and Procedures. Administering contracts and service agreements with Business Continuity service providers.
Training and Awareness - Ensuring all personnel with specific Business Continuity responsibilities are adequately trained to fulfil their assigned responsibilities.
Total defence planning (Totalförsvarsplanering).

Qualifications
As Vattenfall IT Business Continuity Officer you will interact with many stakeholders in the Vattenfall, as an advisor and problem solver, which will require good experience, knowledge, problem solving, and strong communication skills. We look for people with the following skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Work on both strategic and operational levels.
Fluency in written and spoken English. Good Swedish, German, Dutch language skills are of additional value.
Highly structured and organized, with strong interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Analytical and problem solving.
Strong documentation skils.
Background in IT and business continuity/risk management.

Your Background
A minimum of 4 years of experience of working with IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to effectively plan for and mitigate potential disruptions.
Experience of working with BCM in an ISMS context, preferably ISO framework.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal / written communications. Must be able to effectively interface with both management teams and technical teams.
Strong administrative skills, with effectiveness in identifying tasks and managing resources to achieve targets.

Additional Information
Location
The location for the position is in Sweden, Stockholm Headquarters. We believe that you have possibility to travel regularly to build international relationships within the team and the relevant stakeholders, e.g. to the main Vattenfall locations like Stockholm, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Gliwice, or Katowice.
Scope
The scope of the work is Vattenfall IT, which is organized internationally. Employees are located in the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, and Poland.
