Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics.
We are looking for an engaged leader who is motivated by project management, strategical initiative and enjoys working in a complex international environment in a diverse team to successfully meet our challenging deliveries. This is a temporary position as replacement for a parental leave for a period of 8 months, with possibility for prolonging.
Your role
Do you want to take on a new adventure and possibility to contribute to one of Scania's biggest projects ever? We are looking for an engaged leader who is responsible for the department for Projects and maintenance deliveries within new equipment for Scania's new production site in Rugao, China.
As manager for the team, you are expected to lead by example, act as a role model and both support and challenge your team members to reach the defined targets while continuously improve the team and department's performance. You will lead the daily work, act as an escalation step for you team members and you will have the mandate to take decisions for specific actions when it comes to operational and strategical activities. You will have contacts with all different production units in China project and rest of Scania world, where your presence is important for securing the necessary factors or prerequisites that contribute to the success of the team.
In this position you will have a line manager in Scania Industrial Maintenance, Sweden but also reporting project deliveries to Maintenance team in China, where we will define the strategies for the department and together define activities to develop our methods, processes and most importantly our teams and employees to be able to meet the future business needs of China project.
Your team's main responsibilities will span over a wide range of areas and your main activities among others will be:
Secure from a maintenance perspective technical availability for future equipment and facilities according to Scania standards.
Ensure the work according to Scania Standards PEIP, Scania's project process for investment of Equipment and TFP, Scania technical specifications.
Ensure project deliveries in time to be able to have all maintenance preparation done in time (in collaboration with Rugao team) and critical spare part at SOP according to the defined process.
Support and secure the delivery in construction project and central functions such as a mechanical workshop, indirect material warehouse, and discarding area.
Your profile
We are looking for a leader with good knowledge of Scania's processes (such as PEIP and TFP), with experience in applying Scania Way and Scania Leadership Model. You have a bachelor's degree or the equivalent experience and knowledge. You have a genuine interest in building relationships, solving problems, and driving positive change. We also believe you have analytic skills, and good knowledge of project management and change management.
You need to be fluent in English, both in speech and in writing, and comfortable presenting to peers and senior management. You will work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands where you are highly capable of setting priorities with strong project management skills. Experience in industrial establishment is merit.
Your location
The maintenance project team is based in Södertälje, Sweden. This position will require some travelling, both within our Swedish sites as well as some trips to our site in China.

This is a temporary position due to a maternity leave, starting ASAP to December 31st 2024
