The International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR) is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. ISSR runs all three International Baccalaureate's curricula: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The schools language of instruction is English for all subjects The school has been running the Diploma Programme since 1999 and PYP and MYP since 2012 ISSR aspires to provide a high quality, international environment.
The teachers at ISSR are qualified and experienced educators. Teachers and staff take part in the wide range of professional development resources and activities offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). In addition to lessons, teachers often meet their students for individual guidance.
1 plats(er). This fall ISSR will need a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher in Biologi and Chemistry to teach in the Diploma Programme (DP).
This fall ISSR will need a dedicated and enthusiastic science teacher to teach in the Diploma Programme (DP). The position includes organizing and carrying out dynamic and well-crafted lessons in Biology, Environmental Systems and Societies, and Chemistry to the DP students, acting as a mentor to approximately 15 students, participating in the ISSR school community and working actively to build a culture of learning through collaboration.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning high quality lessons and ongoing documentation of student achievement according to IB standards.
• Maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment
• Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication
• Mentorship for approximately 15 student
• Handling Extended Essays in Physics literature
• Planning with colleagues across the school
• Continued professional development
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be:
• A university educated teacher with certification from either a native English speaking contry or Sweden.
• Native English speaker(or near native fluency)
• Highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard, HTML and oter tools for learning)
Löneform: Månadslön.
Anställningsform: Tillsvidare.
Krav på arbetslivserfarenhet: Erfarenhet krävs.
Experiences:
A qualified candidate will be:
• IB authorized training
• International and or IB teaching exsperience
Varaktighet: Tillsvidare.
